For our part of the escort to San Antonio of the unclaimed remains of our 17 veterans their were 54 motorcycles participating plus the DPS, Sheriff’s and Police.

 

 

 

Slaton ISD(Slaton schools) honor and salute the unclaimed veterans remains as they are carried thru Slaton to their final resting place near San Antonio.

 

 

Thursday April 4, 2019 was a special one. It was a day that made all of us in Slaton ISD and the Slaton community humbled and blessed as we joined together to honor fallen warriors whose remains were never claimed. It takes many dedicated souls to gather a THOUSAND people on an access road on a Thursday morning!

I am glad to say the song in this video ( to be posted later below here)  was written and recorded by T. J.  Broscoff in honor of Chief Petty Officer Chris Kyle and I think it fits perfectly here.  (Titled Ghost Behind the Trigger – BGM Records)

Our soldiers are on their way home with their brothers for burial thanks to The Patriot Guard and DPS Officers. Freedom indeed is not free and the ideals that bind us are far more important than those that divide us.
